LET'S TALK BAE!

LET'S TALK BAE!

Always with his headphones on, Andrew would always sing along with every song that plays on it, making the job easier for those around him to stop guessing which song plays next. One would wonder what exactly inspires Drew, the lyrics or the rhythm?

Hello, Successful individual!
It's still a new month and I would love this month to start with BAE!
Yes bae, music is bae, you know.
Don't tell me you're too busy to read through oohh! IT'S A WORK FREE DAY!

Okay, so it's been on my mind for quite a long time now and since i have YnM lovers around, LET'S TALK MUSIC!

I've come across a lot of people who just innocently walk on the street and then get caught up with a particular song, usually in front of a barber's shop or across a bar. We often can't control it and even when we try to comport ourselves, we just find ourselves moving to the beat; nodding our heads or making gestures with our hands.
On the contrary, i've seen people whose first reaction when they hear a song is to listen for the lyrics to either praise or criticize what it says.
This observation is what brings about the topic: RHYTHM OR LYRICS, WHICH INSPIRES YOU THE MOST?

I came across a quote sometime that reads:
When you are happy you enjoy the music, but when you are sad, you understand the lyrics.
This is somewhat true, although somtimes even when you're sad, you just need a nice beat to lure you into happiness.
A good girl was dancing one day and her friend said "oh, so you dance to songs like this". In a state of confusion, she asked her friend what she meant and then she realised that the lyrics of the song was lewd. She didn't pay attention to the lyrics of the song, not because she didn't understand the language, but because she paid more attention to the beat.
Ninety nine percent of about ten people have said that they are inspired by the rhythm of a song and not the lyrics.
Well, speaking of inspiration, something has not inspired you until it has stimulated a kind of emotion in you.
Now, let's come down to the real intention of artistes when they sing.
Music generally, is a means of expressing one's feelings. The feelings of the singer is being potrayed through music, but in order to attract audience to his feelings, he has to add beat to it. Nowadays, the intensity of this beat overshadows the artiste's true feelings and instead of his listeners to share in his feelings, they get carried away with the beat and instead of being able to understand the lyrics, they can almost "recite the beat" like "tan tan tan tan pam pam pam pam"
The primary reason why a singer sings is for his listeners to share in his feelings.
A real musician potrays his feelings through music, just like a poet potrays his feelings through poetry. When a musician sings, what he expects is that his listeners get the real gist of the song (the lyrics), but they cannot get it without a nice beat to lure them. Beats are just to lure the audience; what you are luring them to, is the words you are singing.
Nowadays, some musicians just create beats and say anything as the lyric because they have come to realise that people don't really pay attention to the lyrics. So they play on our ignorance and make money from it.
Good rhythm + Sound lyrics =  Good music.
Good rhythm + Empty lyrics = Empty music.
Bad rhythm + Sound lyrics = Boring music.

Nobody wants Boring music.
We all want Good music.
But nowadays, Empty music is appreciated.

Dear Singers, we want to share in your feelings. Please give us good music.

  1. Hmmmm!!! It's a real big matter of consideration among youths. Well, as for me, lyrics comes first. Though the emotions are better stirred up when the lyrics is complimented with good beats and fine melodies.
